Successful CQC Inspection

We had our first full CQC Inspection in July 2025 and are very proud to share that we were rated GOOD across all 5 lines of enquiry. This is a brilliant achievement for any organisation being inspected for the first time, and is testament to the hard work and commitment of those in our Provider Member Practices and in our internal teams.

Windhill Green remains our registered location as the core site for our Dermatology, Specialist Skin, Ophthalmology and Vasectomy services and we particularly thank them for their hard work in routinely ensuring the continuity of quality and compliance that CQC saw on the day. Thank you also to all the Hub Sites who had staff interviewed, and particularly Parklands Medical Practice and Idle Medical Centre who also received a premises inspection on the day and continued the theme of compliance and good service.

The other regulated activity inspected was our Warfarin Service and the inspectors were very happy with everything they saw there, endorsed by our very positive patient survey results for the service. Many thanks to all who work in the service for their dedication to excellent patient care and clinical governance.

WY Training Hub Team Shortlisted at the General Practice Awards 2024!

We are so proud that the Training Hub General Practice Nurse (GPN) Development Fellowship was shortlisted for a General Practice Award for "Education Programme/Provider of the Year". We sadly didn't win on the night, but the team involved attended and a hreat time was had by all.

The GPN Development Fellowship is a targeted initiative designed to enhance the retention of experienced GPNs within West Yorkshire. By addressing key challenges such as professional isolation and limited peer support, the fellowship fosters a more connected and supported nursing community. It offers structured networking opportunities through locality breakfast meetings and a regional conference, providing safe spaces for GPNs to discuss career progression and share experiences. Additionally, participants have access to personalised coaching sessions with experienced primary care nurses, facilitating individual development and well-being. The fellowship also supports service improvement projects within PCNs, enabling GPNs to engage in meaningful initiatives that benefit their careers, practices, and patients. By investing in the professional growth and satisfaction of GPNs, the fellowship contributes to improved retention rates, ensuring a stable and experienced nursing workforce in West Yorkshire.
